Selection stages

JPSC Civil Services is conducted in three stages: Preliminary (objective, screening), Mains (descriptive papers including Jharkhand-specific GK and General Studies) and a final Interview.

Preparation strategy

• Prelims: Focus on NCERTs, Indian Polity, Geography, Economy and strong Jharkhand GK.
• Mains: Practise answer writing daily; give special weight to Jharkhand history, tribal culture, movements and current affairs.
• Interview: Prepare your DAF, home district and current issues of Jharkhand.

Tip

Jharkhand-specific static GK and state current affairs are high-scoring — do not skip them. Confirm the exact vacancy and dates at jpsc.gov.in.
