Eligibility

Constable requires Matric (10th pass); Sub-Inspector (Daroga) requires a Bachelor's degree. General category age is usually 18–25 years with category relaxations.

Selection process

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) — running, and where applicable long/high jump.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST) — height and chest measurement.
3. Written Exam (OMR) for shortlisted candidates.
4. Medical Examination.

Preparation

Start daily running and endurance training early — physical tests eliminate most candidates. Keep documents and domicile/caste certificates ready. Track the official notification at jssc.jharkhand.gov.in.
