झारखंड ने 5 विभागीय योजनाओं को कार्बन क्रेडिट परियोजनाओं के रूप में चिन्हित किया
On October 30, 2026, the Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department organised a stakeholder workshop in Ranchi to operationalise five government schemes for carbon finance. The aim is to generate verified carbon credits from ongoing initiatives and channel additional income to rural and tribal communities while supporting climate goals.
- Five shortlisted schemes: Mukhyamantri Jan Van Yojana (Forest), Birsa Harit Gram Yojana (Rural Dev.), compressed biogas initiative (Urban Dev.), JREDA’s solar mini/micro grids, and NABARD’s WADI.
- Concept notes will now be prepared to mobilise carbon finance and design MRV (monitoring, reporting, verification) systems.
- Departments, financial institutions and climate experts participated; Climatex shared feasibility findings.
- Objective: Monetise green schemes and create new livelihood streams via agroforestry, land restoration and clean energy.
Exam point: JREDA is the Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (state nodal RE body). Birsa Harit Gram Yojana is implemented by the Rural Development Department in Jharkhand.

30 अक्टूबर 2026 को रांची में वन, पर्यावरण एवं जलवायु परिवर्तन विभाग ने एक कार्यशाला आयोजित कर पाँच सरकारी योजनाओं को कार्बन फाइनेंस के लिए लागू करने पर चर्चा की। उद्देश्य चल रही पहलों से सत्यापित कार्बन क्रेडिट उत्पन्न करना और ग्रामीण‑जनजातीय समुदायों की आय बढ़ाते हुए जलवायु लक्ष्यों को साधना है।
- चयनित पाँच योजनाएँ: Mukhyamantri Jan Van Yojana (Forest), Birsa Harit Gram Yojana (Rural Dev.), शहरी विकास विभाग की compressed biogas पहल, JREDA की solar mini/micro grids और NABARD की WADI।
- अब कार्बन फाइनेंस जुटाने व MRV (मॉनिटरिंग, रिपोर्टिंग, वेरिफिकेशन) ढांचा बनाने हेतु कॉन्सेप्ट नोट तैयार होंगे।
- विभिन्न विभागों, वित्तीय संस्थानों व जलवायु विशेषज्ञों ने भाग लिया; Climatex ने फीजिबिलिटी निष्कर्ष प्रस्तुत किए।
- लक्ष्य: हरित योजनाओं का मोनेटाइजेशन और एग्रोफॉरेस्ट्री, भूमि पुनर्स्थापन व स्वच्छ ऊर्जा से जीविकोपार्जन के अवसर सृजित करना।
