झारखंड का लोक वाद्य ‘मंदर’ को GI टैग मिला

The GI Registry, Chennai granted a Geographical Indication tag to the Mandar of Jharkhand (end of September 2026). Mandar is a two-sided clay-bodied percussion instrument with leather heads, central to tribal folk music, especially among the Oraon community. The application was filed in 2021 by Raidih Mandar Producer Company Ltd, Gumla.
