राज्यों को NHRC की सलाह: महिला बंदियों के अधिकारों पर झारखंड से 2 माह में रिपोर्ट मांगी

राष्ट्रीय मानवाधिकार आयोग (NHRC) ने 28 अक्टूबर 2026 को महिला बंदियों और उनके साथ/अलग रह रहे बच्चों के मानवाधिकार संरक्षण पर सभी राज्य/केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों—जिसमें झारखंड भी शामिल है—को विस्तृत सलाह जारी की। यह सलाह गिरफ्तारी और प्रवेश से लेकर स्वास्थ्य–स्वच्छता, विधिक सहायता, परिजनों से मुलाकात और रिहाई उपरांत पुनर्वास तक की व्यवस्थाओं पर केंद्रित है। आयोग ने दो माह के भीतर प्रगति रिपोर्ट (ATR) मांगी है, जिससे राज्य के गृह/कारा विभागों पर जेलों व रिमांड होम में लैंगिक उत्तरदायी उपाय लागू करने की जिम्मेदारी तय हुई है।
