इस लेख में (Table of Contents)
The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has fixed Sunday, 1 November 2026 as the date for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) 2026. For lakhs of B.Ed and D.El.Ed candidates, this is the gateway to every government teaching job in the state — including the 7,299-post JSSC Para Teacher recruitment that is open right now. Here is what you need to know and how to use the remaining weeks.
JTET 2026 exam schedule
| Shift | Paper | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Shift 1 | Upper Primary (Class 6 – 8) — Paper II | 9:30 AM – 12:00 noon |
| Shift 2 | Primary (Class 1 – 5) — Paper I | 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM |
If you registered for both papers, you will write both on the same day, so plan your food, water and travel accordingly.
How to download the admit card
- Visit jac.jharkhand.gov.in from 15 October 2026.
- Open the JTET 2026 admit card link.
- Log in with your registration/application number and date of birth or password.
- Check your name, photo, paper, centre and timings carefully.
- Take at least two printouts.
If any detail is wrong, contact JAC immediately — do not wait for exam day.
Exam-day checklist
- Printed admit card
- Original photo ID (Aadhaar, voter ID, PAN, driving licence or passport)
- Two passport-size photographs (same as uploaded)
- Black/blue ballpoint pen, if allowed by the admit card instructions
- Reach early — the main gate closes 30 minutes before the exam begins
- No mobile phone, smartwatch, calculator or notes
Paper structure at a glance
Both papers are objective and cover Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I and Language II (including Jharkhand regional/tribal language options). Paper I adds Mathematics and Environmental Studies; Paper II adds either Maths & Science or Social Studies, depending on your stream. Check your admit card and the official JAC notification for the exact pattern and marks.
Last 25-day revision plan
Days 1 – 10: close the gaps
- Child Development: Piaget, Vygotsky, Kohlberg, inclusive education, learning disabilities, RTE Act basics.
- Your weakest content subject — one chapter a day, with 20 practice questions per chapter.
- Languages: grammar plus pedagogy of language teaching.
Days 11 – 20: practise like the exam
- One full-length mock every alternate day, in the same time slot as your real shift.
- Analyse every mock: note wrong answers by topic, not just the score.
- Revise previous JTET and CTET pedagogy questions — the concepts repeat.
Days 21 – 25: revise, do not learn new
- Revise your own short notes and the error list from mocks.
- Sleep well the last two nights — memory consolidates during sleep.
- Prepare your documents and route to the centre the day before.
Why JTET matters right now
The JSSC Para Teacher (JTAACCE-2026) recruitment requires JTET Paper I for Class 1 – 5 posts and Paper II for Class 6 – 8 posts. A good JTET result also keeps you ready for future JSSC TGT/PGT and assistant teacher notifications.
